Cela-Cela is a charming dive site on Bunaken Island in North Sulawesi, featuring a gentle reef slope and wall that provides comfortable diving conditions with reliable marine life encounters. The reef descends from a shallow hard coral garden at 3 meters to a wall dropping to around 30 meters, adorned with gorgonian fans, sponges, and soft corals. The site is known for its friendly turtle population—green and hawksbill turtles are frequent visitors, often approaching divers closely. Schools of sweetlips, batfish, and butterflyfish cruise the reef, while moray eels peer from wall crevices and lionfish hover near overhangs. The calm conditions and easy boat access make Cela-Cela suitable for all levels, from beginners getting their first taste of Bunaken's famous walls to experienced divers enjoying a relaxed dive between more challenging sites. Night diving here reveals a different cast of characters with active hunting critters and bioluminescent displays.
