Owi Point is a beginner-friendly dive site near Owi Island in the Biak archipelago of Papua, where a sheltered reef slopes gently into the turquoise waters of Cenderawasih Bay. The site is known for its exceptional hard coral diversity, with over a hundred species of Scleractinia creating a dense mosaic of color and texture across the reef flat. Clownfish anemones dot the landscape in impressive numbers, while giant clams of remarkable size are scattered among the coral heads. The shallow profile and protected position make Owi Point an excellent site for snorkelers as well as divers, with the best coral displays in just 5 to 10 meters of water. The remote location means encounters with other divers are rare, lending an exploratory atmosphere to every visit. Owi Point offers a serene and colorful introduction to the extraordinary marine biodiversity of Papua's Cenderawasih Bay.
