Isola di Nisida sits in the Gulf of Naples between Posillipo and Campi Flegrei, offering accessible shore diving in a historically rich volcanic setting. The submerged lava formations create a rugged underwater terrain with small caves, boulders, and sandy clearings where octopus and cuttlefish are regularly spotted. Posidonia oceanica meadows fringe the shallows, sheltering juvenile fish and seahorses. With Naples' skyline as a backdrop and Mount Vesuvius on the horizon, this is urban diving at its most atmospheric and surprisingly biodiverse.
