Secca di Miseno is an advanced dive on a submerged reef in the volcanic bay of Miseno, steeped in Roman naval history as the base of the ancient Classis Misenensis fleet. The rocky pinnacle rises from deep water, its walls draped in Mediterranean gorgonians, black coral, and dense sponge gardens. Barracuda and amberjack school around the summit, while octopus and lobster hide in the crevices. Strong currents and depth require advanced certification and experience, but the combination of rich marine life and ancient history creates a truly memorable dive.
