Vervece is a legendary dive site off Ischia — a towering rocky islet whose underwater walls plunge vertically into the deep blue, making it one of the Gulf of Naples' most dramatic advanced dives. The sheer walls are adorned with Mediterranean red coral, massive gorgonian fans, and carpets of golden zoanthids. A famous underwater nativity scene and Madonna statue have been placed on the reef. Currents attract large pelagic visitors including amberjack, barracuda, and occasional eagle rays. The exposure and depth demand solid experience, but Vervece rewards with world-class underwater scenery.
