LA CATTEDRALE

La Cattedrale — 'The Cathedral' — is an advanced cave dive near Santa Maria di Leuca in Puglia, where a massive underwater cavern with a vaulted ceiling reaching 16 meters creates a genuinely cathedral-like underwater space. Light filtering through the entrance illuminates the chamber in ethereal blue, revealing walls covered in colorful sponges and encrusting organisms. The scale of the cavern is breathtaking, allowing multiple divers to hover in the vast space simultaneously. Lobsters and shrimp inhabit the darker recesses. One of the most awe-inspiring cave dives along the entire Italian coastline.
