Secca del Pisello is a beginner-friendly seamount dive near Santa Maria di Leuca, where a submerged rocky reef rises to accessible depths at the southernmost point of Puglia. The reef top is a colorful garden of sponges, small gorgonians, and encrusting organisms that attract a diverse community of Mediterranean fish. Schools of damselfish and chromis animate the scene, while octopus and cuttlefish hunt along the reef edges. The unique position where Adriatic and Ionian waters mix ensures excellent biodiversity, making this a rewarding and accessible dive for all certification levels.
