Malepasso is an intermediate dive off the coast of Otranto in Puglia, where the dramatic limestone coastline extends underwater to 30 meters. The site features impressive rock formations with walls, overhangs, and small caverns covered in Mediterranean sponges and gorgonians. Otranto's position at the meeting point of the Adriatic and Ionian seas brings diverse marine life — grouper, barracuda, and schools of bream are common encounters. The historic town of Otranto with its Norman cathedral provides a magnificent surface interval backdrop. A rewarding intermediate dive in one of Puglia's most scenic diving locations.
