Saudi Border is a beginner-friendly dive site at the southernmost point of Jordan's Red Sea coastline, literally where Aqaba's diving territory meets the Saudi Arabian border. The reef here benefits from its remote position away from the busier northern sites, resulting in pristine coral conditions and undisturbed marine life. The fringing reef extends along the shore with excellent hard coral coverage — massive Porites bommies, delicate branching corals, and encrusting formations create a rich habitat. The fish population reflects the quieter conditions: large groupers are bolder, turtles more relaxed, and reef fish more abundant than at busier sites. The sandy slope between coral patches occasionally reveals seahorses and rare nudibranchs. Diving at the very edge of Jordan's underwater territory adds a sense of frontier adventure to an already beautiful reef dive.
