Blue Coral is a beginner-friendly dive site in Aqaba, Jordan, celebrated for its pristine coral gardens featuring rare specimens of blue coral (Heliopora coerulea) — one of the few sites in the northern Red Sea where this ancient species thrives. The reef slopes gently from shore, creating a comfortable profile for newer divers while showcasing exceptional coral diversity. Alongside the signature blue coral, vibrant table corals, branching staghorn formations, and soft corals create a multi-layered reef ecosystem. The coral cover attracts a rich fish community: territorial triggerfish, schools of fusiliers, curious pufferfish, and endemic Red Sea species like the royal angelfish. Cleaner wrasses operate busy stations on prominent coral heads, servicing larger fish in fascinating symbiotic displays. The site's ecological significance and accessible diving conditions make it a must-visit for anyone diving Aqaba's coast.
