Jam, Kadena North is an intermediate dive site along Okinawa's west coast, accessed from the Kadena seawall area. The site features a coral reef extending to 20 meters over a gentle slope, with a particularly rich concentration of coral heads and small bommies that create a labyrinthine underwater garden. The name 'Jam' reflects the packed density of marine life found here — coral heads are crowded with territorial damselfish, anemones host families of Clark's clownfish, and moray eels peer from every other crevice. The site is especially valued for its nudibranch diversity, with seasonal species appearing throughout the year. Cuttlefish are common visitors, and sea turtles frequently rest on the larger coral formations. The moderate depth and generally calm conditions make Jam accessible to intermediate divers while offering enough biodiversity to keep photographers and marine life enthusiasts engaged for repeated visits.
