Koh Moan is an intermediate dive site around a small island in Cambodia's Gulf of Thailand waters, where a rocky reef descends to 20 meters over a landscape of boulders and coral formations. The island's position between deeper channels means currents can develop, bringing nutrient-rich water that supports healthy coral growth and abundant fish life. The reef features a good mix of hard and soft corals, with barrel sponges adding vertical interest. Schools of batfish are a highlight, approaching divers with their characteristic flat-bodied curiosity. Barracuda cruise the deeper water beyond the reef edge, and bamboo sharks rest in sandy hollows. The macro life is excellent — nudibranchs, flatworms, and tiny commensal shrimp on sea urchins reward patient observers. Koh Moan's intermediate conditions offer a balanced dive experience, with enough current-driven encounters to excite while remaining manageable for competent divers.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
