Koh Prins West is an intermediate dive site on the western side of Koh Prins island off Sihanoukville, Cambodia, where the reef faces open water and descends to 24 meters. The western exposure means this side receives more current than the sheltered eastern shore, attracting larger marine life and supporting denser coral growth. The reef wall features impressive gorgonian fans, barrel sponges, and healthy hard coral colonies. Schools of snappers and fusiliers cruise the reef edge, while bamboo sharks and blue-spotted stingrays inhabit the sandy areas at the base. The current brings occasional pelagic surprises including cobia and barracuda schools. Nudibranchs are particularly diverse on the gorgonian-rich walls. The site offers a nice contrast to the calmer eastern side of the island, demonstrating how a single island can host markedly different underwater environments depending on exposure and current patterns.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
