Martini Wall offers intermediate-level divers a more in-depth exploration of the famous rock formation off Dibba, Fujairah. Reaching depths of 19 meters, this section of the Martini dive complex extends beyond the shallow wall into deeper, more dramatic territory where the marine life grows larger and the underwater scenery takes on a more atmospheric quality. At these depths, the wall reveals features not visible from the shallower sections. Larger overhangs provide shelter for schools of glassfish that create shimmering curtains in torchlight, while bigger gorgonian sea fans spread across the current-facing surfaces. The deeper rock faces support different coral species than the shallows, with black coral bushes and dense soft coral colonies that thrive in the reduced light conditions. The marine life at the deeper Martini Wall reflects the increased depth and proximity to open water. Larger grouper establish themselves in the wall's deeper recesses, while schools of batfish and barracuda use the wall as a navigation reference on their patrols through the area. Cuttlefish are frequently encountered along the wall, their remarkable color-changing displays providing one of the most mesmerizing spectacles in the underwater world. The wall's nooks and crannies shelter a rich macro community including nudibranchs, decorator crabs, and mantis shrimp. The intermediate rating acknowledges the additional depth and the slightly more demanding conditions compared to the shallow wall above. Divers should be comfortable with wall diving techniques, including maintaining proper buoyancy to stay off the delicate coral growth while managing their depth along the sloping wall profile. Mild to moderate currents may be present, adding a dynamic element to the dive. Visibility at this depth tends to be slightly better than in the shallows, averaging 8 to 15 meters during the optimal season from November through March. Water temperatures at depth are a degree or two cooler than at the surface, typically ranging from 21 to 26 degrees during the best diving months. The deeper Martini Wall is the natural progression for divers who have enjoyed the shallower sections and want to discover what lies just beyond, offering a richer and more atmospheric diving experience.
