The Elbow at Turneffe Islands is one of Belize's most famous advanced dive sites, located at the southernmost point of the atoll where two wall systems converge, creating a current-swept promontory. This exposed position attracts an extraordinary concentration of large marine life — schools of hundreds of horse-eye jacks form massive tornados, eagle rays glide past in formation, and Caribbean reef sharks patrol the wall edge. The wall plunges vertically from 10 meters with pristine coral coverage and giant sea fans. Strong currents are the norm, making this a challenging but legendary dive destination.
