Fabian's Roost at Turneffe Islands is an advanced wall dive named for a large hawksbill turtle that was regularly seen resting in the same overhang for years. The wall here features impressive overhangs and caverns at 20-30 meters, their ceilings covered with orange cup corals and tubastrea that bloom open during the day. The wall face is decorated with massive purple tube sponges and deepwater gorgonians. Large Nassau groupers and black groupers inhabit the ledges, while schools of Bermuda chub and blue runners stream past in the current. A beautiful deep wall dive rewarding patient, observant divers.
