Célèbre in Nova Scotia is a beginner-friendly dive site where an old coastal vessel now rests in sheltered waters, providing an easy introduction to wreck diving. The wreck sits at shallow depth on a mixed bottom of rock and sand, with its remaining structure well-colonized by kelp, anemones, and encrusting organisms. The site attracts a good variety of local fish species including cunner, winter flounder, and schools of Atlantic silverside. Lobsters and crabs have made the wreck their home, and the surrounding area offers interesting rocky reef exploration. The protected location ensures calm conditions for comfortable diving year-round.
