Herring Cove - Hebridean Park in Nova Scotia is an intermediate shore dive at the entrance to Halifax Harbour, where tidal currents bring nutrient-rich water from the open Atlantic. The rocky bottom features large granite formations with channels and overhangs hosting dense cold-water communities. The tidal flow attracts schools of herring (giving the cove its name), cunner, and seasonal mackerel runs. Large lobsters inhabit the deeper rock formations, and harbour seals occasionally visit the area. The site's intermediate rating comes from the tidal currents that require timing dives around slack water for the most comfortable experience.
