La Caldera in Quintay is a beginner-accessible dive site in a natural cauldron-shaped rocky cove near the former whaling station. The enclosed formation creates calm, sheltered conditions while the rocky walls support diverse marine life including anemones, sea urchins, and small crustaceans. Schools of fish swirl in the protected waters, and the clear Humboldt Current-fed waters provide good visibility. This natural pool-like environment offers a gentle and scenic introduction to Chile's central Pacific diving near Valparaíso.
