La Isla in Quintay is an advanced dive site around a small rocky island offshore from the historic whaling village. The island's submerged walls and rocky terrain create diverse habitats where strong Humboldt Current flows concentrate marine life. Divers encounter dense kelp forests, large lobster, congregating sea lions, and schools of jack mackerel swirling around the island's perimeter. Current and surge exposure make this a challenging dive, but the exceptional marine biodiversity makes La Isla one of Quintay's premier underwater destinations.
