El Dahr is a beginner-friendly reef dive in the Strait of Gubal, Egypt's Red Sea, offering a gentle introduction to the area's spectacular reef systems. The sloping reef features excellent hard coral coverage with table corals, brain corals, and massive Porites colonies. Bannerfish, butterflyfish, and anthias bring the reef to life, while the occasional turtle passes through. The sheltered position provides reliable calm conditions, making El Dahr a popular warm-up or second dive on liveaboard itineraries through the strait.
