Malak is an intermediate dive site in the Strait of Gubal, Egypt's Red Sea, featuring a reef system with varied topography including walls, overhangs, and coral gardens. The site offers reliable encounters with turtles, Napoleon wrasse, and schools of snappers. Soft coral growth is particularly impressive on the shaded overhangs, displaying the full spectrum of Red Sea colors. Moderate currents keep the water clean and bring interesting pelagic visitors. A solid all-round dive that showcases the diversity of Gubal's reef systems.
