Acuario I

Acuario I is an advanced shallow dive site near Carboneras in Almería's Cabo de Gata region, reaching 12 meters depth. Despite the shallow profile, the site is rated advanced due to its exposed position and potential surge conditions along this rugged coastline. The volcanic reef features exceptional clarity and biodiversity that earned it the aquarium name, with dense populations of Mediterranean fish, nudibranchs, and invertebrates covering every surface. Moray eels, octopuses, and scorpionfish hide among the rocks, while colorful wrasse and damselfish create a living aquarium effect. The Cabo de Gata protected waters ensure pristine conditions and exceptional marine diversity.
