El Jardín de San Andrés is an advanced shallow dive site near Carboneras in Almería, reaching just 10 meters depth. Named 'the garden of San Andrés' for its lush underwater vegetation, this site features dense Posidonia meadows and algae-covered rocks creating an underwater garden effect. Despite its shallow profile, the site is rated advanced due to exposed conditions and potential surge. The garden hosts seahorses, pipefish, and nudibranchs hiding in the vegetation, while colorful wrasse and damselfish flit between the rocks. The rich plant life supports a complete Mediterranean food chain, from tiny invertebrates to hunting cuttlefish. Excellent visibility in the Cabo de Gata waters enhances the garden experience.
