El Acuario II is a beginner-friendly dive site off Carboneras in Almería, known for its aquarium-like clarity and abundant marine life. The site features a shallow rocky reef with volcanic formations creating natural pools and channels teeming with Mediterranean species. Divers encounter dense schools of damselfish, wrasse, and bream weaving through the formations, while octopuses and cuttlefish provide constant entertainment. Nudibranchs of various species can be found on the rock surfaces, and the occasional trumpetfish lurks vertically among the algae. The site's shallow profile, excellent visibility, and rich biodiversity justify its aquarium namesake, making it perfect for underwater photography and relaxed diving.
