
Calarreona is a beginner-friendly shore dive near Águilas on the Murcian coast, reaching 12 meters depth in a beautiful sheltered cove. This accessible site features a sandy entry leading to scattered volcanic rock formations and Posidonia seagrass beds that support a rich Mediterranean ecosystem. Octopuses, cuttlefish, and seahorses can be found among the seagrass, while the rocky areas shelter moray eels, nudibranchs, and schools of colorful wrasse. The protected cove provides calm conditions ideal for training dives and snorkeling, and the crystal-clear Murcian waters offer excellent visibility. Calarreona is a hidden gem for relaxed diving and macro photography along the southeastern Spanish coast.
