La Losa del Payo is a beginner-friendly dive site near Águilas on the Murcian coast of southeastern Spain, featuring a broad flat rock formation that extends from the shore into deeper water. This natural platform creates an excellent underwater terrain for easy navigation, with its edges and crevices sheltering a rich variety of Mediterranean marine life. Divers can spot octopuses, moray eels, and nudibranchs among the rocks, while the flat top hosts sea cucumbers and colorful starfish. Schools of saddled bream and salema graze nearby, and the site's moderate depths and typically calm conditions make it perfect for training and relaxed recreational diving.
