Los Chuchos is an intermediate dive site off Tenerife's western coast near Playa San Juan, reaching 23 meters depth. Named after the stingrays (chuchos) that frequent the sandy areas, this site offers exciting encounters with these graceful creatures alongside a rich volcanic reef ecosystem. The sandy bottom between rock formations is where round stingrays and butterfly rays rest and feed, while the volcanic reef hosts groupers, moray eels, and colorful wrasse. Green sea turtles are also regular visitors. The moderate depth and occasional currents make this an ideal step-up site for divers progressing beyond beginner level, with the reliable ray sightings providing a memorable highlight.
