Annie's Bommie is an intermediate dive site in the Somosomo Strait off Taveuni, Fiji, featuring a large isolated coral pinnacle that rises from a sandy bottom. The bommie is densely covered in soft corals, sea fans, and whip corals that come alive with colour when illuminated by a torch. Schools of anthias and fusiliers swirl around the structure, while moray eels peek from crevices and lionfish hover beneath overhangs. The surrounding sand patches often reveal garden eels and rays. Currents from the Somosomo Strait bring nutrients that fuel the bommie's extraordinary coral growth. A quintessential Fiji dive combining macro treasures with the country's legendary soft coral spectacle.
