Coral Gardens is an intermediate dive site in the Somosomo Strait off Taveuni, Fiji, living up to its name with a breathtaking expanse of pristine coral formations. The site features a gently sloping reef covered in an extraordinary variety of hard and soft corals — staghorn, table, brain, and massive porites corals form the foundation, while dendronephthya soft corals in every imaginable colour drape the overhangs. Fish life is prolific, with parrotfish, surgeonfish, and wrasses constantly grazing the reef. Turtles cruise through regularly, and the calm, shallow areas make this an excellent site for underwater photography. A classic Fiji dive experience.
