Nuku Reef is an intermediate dive site off Taveuni in Fiji's Somosomo Strait, featuring a vibrant reef system that showcases the extraordinary coral diversity for which this area is world-famous. The reef structure includes massive coral heads, intricate branching formations, and dramatic overhangs dripping with soft corals in pinks, purples, and golds. Schools of fusiliers and anthias create a living rainbow above the reef, while cleaning stations attract groupers, sweetlips, and the occasional Napoleon wrasse. Gentle to moderate currents keep the reef well-nourished and visibility typically excellent. Nuku Reef delivers a reliable, colourful Fijian diving experience suitable for confident recreational divers.
