Les Ancres is one of the signature arch dives along the Port-Louis coastline, a short boat ride north-west of the harbour. The site is named after the old anchors still resting on the sand at its base. The profile runs along a coral shoulder with a ceiling passage that divers swim under before re-emerging on the outer reef. Maximum depth sits around 21 metres. Visibility in Guadeloupe's west coast is generally solid between December and May, when the trade winds are lighter and surface chop stays low. Water temperature ranges from 26 to 29 degrees through the year.
