Pointe Plate

Pointe Plate is often described as hosting the largest arch on the whole Port-Louis coast. The site sits off the cape of the same name north of the harbour and features a broad ceiling span that large groups can pass under comfortably. The profile works around 22 metres. Eagle rays pass on the outer side often enough to keep photographers patient, and hawksbill turtles use the coral shoulder as a daytime rest zone. Advanced Open Water is the honest call because of the depth and the occasional north-swell surge that can push through the arch.
