Belly Comber Snorkel Reef is a beginner-friendly shallow reef on the south coast of Crete, designed to be accessible for both snorkelers and beginning scuba divers. The shallow rocky reef in crystal-clear waters provides an excellent introduction to Cretan marine life, with octopuses, colorful wrasse, damselfish, and sea bream visible from the surface or at very shallow depth. Sea urchins, starfish, and nudibranchs decorate the rock surfaces. The protected position and minimal depth make this site particularly suitable for families, try-dive participants, and those new to water sports. It serves as a gentle gateway to the more substantial dive sites available along this scenic stretch of Crete's south coast.
