Vlamis Villas at Stavros is an intermediate dive site on the Akrotiri Peninsula near Chania in northwestern Crete. The site made famous by the Zorba the Greek movie scene offers diving along rocky reefs in the sheltered bay of Stavros. The underwater landscape features limestone boulders, small caves, and sandy patches inhabited by typical Mediterranean species including wrasse, sea bream, octopuses, and moray eels. The intermediate rating reflects moderate depths and occasional currents around the headland. The combination of cinematic history, clear Cretan waters, and accessible diving makes this an appealing site for divers exploring the Chania region of western Crete.
