Dragon's Nose is a fun beginner dive site on the south coast of Crete near Paleochora. Named for a distinctive rock formation that resembles a dragon's snout protruding from the cliff face, this site offers easy shore access and sheltered conditions. The underwater landscape features a sloping reef with scattered boulders creating natural swimthroughs and small overhangs perfect for exploring. Mediterranean damselfish, wrasse, and sea bream populate the reef, while octopus and moray eels hide in the crevices. The shallow depth profile and calm waters make it excellent for discovery dives and underwater photography in crystal-clear Libyan Sea conditions.
