Souda Beach

Souda Beach is a beginner-friendly shore dive on the south coast of Crete, offering easy access to a gentle Mediterranean reef environment. The sandy beach entry leads to a mix of rocky outcrops, seagrass meadows, and sandy patches that support typical Cretan marine life. Octopuses, wrasse, damselfish, sea bream, and small groupers can be spotted in the clear, warm waters. The shallow depth and calm conditions make it ideal for introductory dives and snorkeling. Souda Beach is accessible from local dive operations and provides a relaxed diving experience with the dramatic mountainous backdrop of southern Crete.
