Sugar Hill Wreck is a beginner-friendly wreck dive on the south coast of Crete, offering an accessible introduction to wreck diving in the warm, clear Mediterranean. This small vessel rests at shallow depth on a sandy seabed, making it suitable for divers with basic certifications. The wreck structure has been progressively colonized by sponges, algae, and encrusting organisms, creating a small artificial reef. Octopuses, moray eels, and schools of sea bream shelter around and within the wreck. The combination of interesting wreck exploration and good visibility makes Sugar Hill an engaging dive that adds variety to the reef and cave diving predominantly found along Crete's south coast.
