Cleio Shipwreck is an advanced wreck dive on the northern Attica coast near Marathon. The remains of this vessel lie at depth on the seabed, providing an atmospheric exploration experience in the Euboean Gulf. The wreck structure has become a thriving artificial reef, with sponges, hydroids, and gorgonians colonizing the hull. Groupers and moray eels have established territories within the wreck, and schools of damselfish and anthias add life and colour to the scene. Lobsters shelter in the darker recesses. The depth demands careful planning and proper certification, but the combination of wreck exploration and abundant marine life makes Cleio a rewarding dive for experienced wreck enthusiasts visiting the Athens area.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
