Marathon Cape is a beginner-friendly dive site at the cape near Marathon on the northern Attica coast. This rocky headland extends underwater to create a scenic diving environment with gentle slopes, scattered boulders, and small overhangs. The cape's position provides mild current flow that brings nutrients, supporting healthy Mediterranean reef life. Wrasse, damselfish, sea bream, and blennies are abundant, while octopus and moray eels hide in the crevices. The rocky surfaces are decorated with sponges and small anemones. With the historic Marathon plain visible from the surface and the Euboean Gulf stretching beyond, this site combines easy diving with a sense of Greek history.
