Pefkos is a beginner-friendly dive site near the village of Pefki on the southeast coast of Rhodes in the Dodecanese. This sheltered bay offers gentle shore access to a reef of scattered rocks and sand, with pine trees (pefko in Greek) lining the shore above. The warm, clear waters provide excellent visibility and calm conditions ideal for new divers. Marine life includes ornate wrasse, damselfish, octopus, and cuttlefish among the rocky outcrops, while Posidonia seagrass beds shelter seahorses and pipefish. The shallow depth profile allows long, relaxed dives. Combined with the picturesque village setting and proximity to Lindos, Pefkos is a popular choice for resort divers exploring Rhodes.
