Pentanissos Islet is an advanced dive site off a group of small rocky islets near Lindos on the southeast coast of Rhodes. The exposed offshore position creates strong currents that attract impressive pelagic action. The underwater terrain features steep walls and deep drop-offs covered with dense gorgonian forests, large sponges, and false black coral. Schools of amberjack, barracuda, and dentex are regular visitors, while massive groupers occupy the caves and overhangs. Eagle rays and the occasional Mediterranean sunfish have been spotted. The challenging conditions demand advanced skills and proper boat support, but the marine life density and dramatic terrain make this one of Rhodes' finest dives.
