Pleora is an advanced deep dive site near Heraklion, Crete, descending to 40 meters over a dramatic underwater cliff. The wall plunges steeply from a shallow rocky plateau, creating an impressive vertical dive along surfaces rich in gorgonian fans, sponges, and bryozoans. Groupers and dentex patrol the wall's deeper ledges, while moray eels peer from crevices at mid-depth. The exposure to open-water currents brings excellent visibility and occasional pelagic sightings, making Pleora one of the more challenging and rewarding dives near Crete's northern coast.
