Sminera

Sminera is a beginner-friendly dive site in eastern Crete, offering a gentle introduction to Cretan waters over a landscape of scattered boulders and sandy seabed. The site features healthy posidonia meadows that shelter seahorses, pipefish, and juvenile fish, while rocky outcrops provide homes for blennies, gobies, and ornate wrasse. Octopuses are frequently spotted, and the calm, clear conditions typical of the area provide excellent visibility for new divers discovering the Mediterranean underwater world.
