BioRock

BioRock is Pemuteran's flagship coral restoration project and one of Bali's most innovative dive sites, featuring the world's largest Biorock coral reef restoration installation. Dozens of metal structures powered by low-voltage electrical current line the sandy seabed between 3 and 12 meters, supporting accelerated coral growth that has transformed the once-degraded area into a thriving marine ecosystem. The frames are now covered in living coral and attract an impressive variety of marine life including seahorses, frogfish, leaf scorpionfish, and clouds of reef fish. The shallow depth and absence of current make BioRock perfect for beginner divers, snorkelers, and those interested in marine conservation. It is also an outstanding night dive location where crustaceans, octopus, and hunting predators emerge from the structures. BioRock demonstrates that science and community effort can rebuild damaged reefs, making every dive here both enjoyable and inspiring.
