Cape Mansuar is an advanced current-swept dive site on the western point of Mansuar Island in Raja Ampat, where the reef juts into the Dampier Strait attracting impressive concentrations of fish and pelagic species. The rocky reef features walls and slopes descending to 40 meters, covered in healthy soft corals, gorgonians, and sponges. Strong currents bring dense schools of fusiliers, surgeonfish, and trevally that form spectacular walls of fish around the point, while grey reef sharks, white-tip reef sharks, and wobbegong sharks are regular residents. Napoleon wrasse cruise past, and eagle rays occasionally sweep through the blue. The exposed position means currents can be powerful and unpredictable, requiring advanced diving skills and experience with drift diving. When conditions cooperate, Cape Mansuar delivers exhilarating fish-action diving that rivals any current-swept point in Raja Ampat.
