Yenbuba Jetty is a unique and rewarding dive site on Mansuar Island in Raja Ampat, where the wooden village jetty creates an unexpected underwater haven teeming with marine life. The pilings are coated in colorful soft corals, tunicates, and sponges that attract an extraordinary density of fish—schools of cardinalfish, silversides, and glassfish swirl in clouds around the structure, while resident frogfish, seahorses, and ghost pipefish hide among the growth. The surrounding sand and rubble host blue-ringed octopus, mantis shrimp, and various nudibranch species. The shallow depth of 5 to 15 meters and absence of current make Yenbuba Jetty an excellent site for macro photography and night diving, when the pilings come alive with hunting critters and bioluminescent displays. This is a must-dive for macro enthusiasts visiting Raja Ampat, offering a completely different experience from the region's current-swept reef sites.
