Karang Sari is an advanced dive site off the eastern coast of Nusa Penida, featuring a current-swept reef slope that attracts both abundant reef fish and occasional pelagic visitors. The site offers a rocky reef descending from 10 to beyond 40 meters, covered in healthy hard coral formations, sponges, and scattered soft corals. The reef supports large schools of surgeonfish, sweetlips, and fusiliers, while Napoleon wrasse and bumphead parrotfish cruise through during their feeding rounds. During the cool season, the cold upwellings may bring mola mola sightings, and reef sharks are present year-round in the deeper sections. The moderate to strong currents demand good buoyancy and drift diving skills, but the reward is diving in the nutrient-rich waters that make Nusa Penida's east coast one of Bali's most productive underwater environments.
