Sahaung Point is one of Bangka Island's premier dive sites in North Sulawesi, celebrated for its stunning soft coral gardens and exceptional diversity of marine life. The site features a series of volcanic rock pinnacles draped in dense soft corals of every imaginable color—vivid reds, pinks, oranges, and purples—creating an underwater landscape that rivals any in the Coral Triangle. Strong currents at the point attract schooling fish including barracuda, trevally, and batfish, while the sheltered areas host pygmy seahorses, ornate ghost pipefish, and blue-ringed octopus. Sea turtles glide past regularly, and reef sharks patrol the deeper walls. Sahaung Point demands respect for its currents but rewards advanced divers with some of the most photogenic reef scenery in Indonesia.
