Secret Bay in Gilimanuk is one of the world's most renowned muck diving sites, a shallow sheltered bay on Bali's northwestern tip where extraordinary critter diversity belies the unassuming setting. The sandy and silty bottom between 2 and 12 meters depth hosts an incredible array of rare species: Banggai cardinalfish (an introduced colony far from their native Sulawesi), robust and ornate ghost pipefish, dragonets, Ambon scorpionfish, and multiple species of seahorse and pipefish. Bobbit worms lie in ambush, coconut octopus hide in shells, and frogfish blend seamlessly into sponges. Night dives are legendary, revealing Spanish dancers, bobtail squid, and stargazers. The combination of incredible biodiversity, easy diving conditions, and shore access makes Secret Bay a world-class destination for macro photography and critter enthusiasts.

Absolutely stunning dive site. The visibility was exceptional and we spotted several species we had never seen before. Will definitely come back.
Great spot for advanced divers. Currents can be tricky but the marine life makes it worth it.
One of the best dive sites in the region. Highly recommended.
